Privacy at a Glance
We only collect your voice recordings to generate social media content. We do not sell your data, and we don't allow our AI partners to use your voice to train their models.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Numeral Digital, LLC ("we," "us," or "Clipsy") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Clipsy mobile application ("App") and our website at goclipsy.com ("Website"), collectively referred to as the "Service."
Clipsy is a voice-powered content creation tool that uses artificial intelligence to transform your voice recordings into social media posts. This policy describes how we handle the data involved in that process.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Numeral Digital, LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Account Data
When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive:
- Your email address (or an Apple-generated relay address, if you choose to hide your email)
- Your name (if you choose to share it)
- A unique user identifier
3.2 Voice and Audio Data
When you use Clipsy's recording feature, we capture your voice recording through your device's microphone. See Section 5 ("Voice and Audio Data") for detailed information about how this data is processed.
3.3 Transcripts and Generated Content
- Text transcriptions of your voice recordings
- AI-generated social media posts and content drafts
- User profiles generated from your voice input
- Saved ideas and content history
This data is stored on our servers and associated with your account.
3.4 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe to Clipsy Pro, Apple processes your payment. We receive:
- Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
- Subscription plan type
- Purchase and renewal dates
We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID password. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
3.5 Device and Technical Data
We may collect:
- Device model and operating system version
- App version
- Language and locale settings
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
3.6 Data We Do NOT Collect
- Contacts or address book
- Location data
- Browsing history
- Photos or camera data
- Advertising identifiers (we do not use ad tracking)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
5. Voice and Audio Data
This section describes how Clipsy handles your voice recordings, which we consider sensitive personal data.
How Voice Processing Works
- Recording: When you tap the record button, Clipsy captures your voice through your device's microphone.
- Transmission: Your voice recording is securely transmitted to our third-party AI processing partners for transcription and content generation.
- AI Processing: The audio and resulting transcript are sent to third-party AI providers — currently Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and Anthropic (Claude) — via OpenRouter (API routing infrastructure) to generate social media posts based on your voice input.
- Response: The AI-generated text is returned to Clipsy and stored on our servers as part of your content history.
- Audio Retention: Voice recordings are processed in real time. We do not retain the original audio recordings on our servers after processing is complete. The generated text content (transcripts and posts) is retained as part of your account data.

AI Provider Data Practices
Our AI partners process your data solely to provide AI-generated responses to Clipsy. We do not permit these partners to use your voice data or content to train their public models. For details on their data practices, please refer to:

Voiceprints and Biometric Data
Clipsy does not create, store, or process voiceprints, speaker identification profiles, or any biometric identifiers derived from your voice recordings. Your voice is used solely for transcription and content generation.
6. AI-Generated Content
Clipsy uses artificial intelligence to generate social media posts from your voice input. You should be aware that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your intended purpose
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI-generated content before publishing it on any platform
- AI-generated content may resemble content created by others; we do not guarantee the originality of generated text
- We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content created from your input

Legal and Safety
We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell or share your personal data to any third party for cross-context behavioral advertising or any other commercial purpose. If you are a California resident, this serves as our notice that we do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

Upon account deletion, all associated personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records related to subscription purchases).

- Right of Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Right to Rectification — correct inaccurate personal data

- Right to Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent for AI data processing at any time (via Settings in the App)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10.2 Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by CPRA), you have the following rights:
- Right to Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect
- Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Correct — correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — request that we limit the use of sensitive personal information (including voice recordings) to what is necessary to provide the Service
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@goclipsy.com or use the account deletion feature within the App (Settings > Account > Delete Account). We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days.
11. California Privacy Rights — Sensitive Personal Information
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act and Senate Bill 1223 (effective 2025), voice recordings and data processed by AI systems may constitute sensitive personal information.
Categories of sensitive personal information we process:
- Voice recordings (used for AI-based transcription and content generation)
Purpose: We process this sensitive information solely to provide the core functionality of the Clipsy service — converting your voice input into social media posts.
Your right to limit use: You may request that we limit the use of your sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Service. To exercise this right, contact us at support@goclipsy.com.
12. Children's Privacy
Clipsy is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 17 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@goclipsy.com.
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes that affect how we process your data, we may also notify you via email or in-app notification.
